WORCESTER - Dorothy M. (Houghton) Riordan, 99, formerly of Summerhill Ave. and Notre Dame du Lac in Worcester, died May 31, 2014 at Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center.

Her husband, Christopher C. Riordan, died in 1966. Her brothers, Edmund B. and Richard L. Houghton, and her sister Flora L. Cobiski, predeceased her. She leaves nephews and nieces.

Dot was born in Leicester, daughter of Emeline (Bouchard) and Edmund B. Houghton. She grew up in Leominster and graduated from Leominster High School.

She was an assistant manager in the fur department at the former Denholm & McKay department store in Worcester.

Dot was a longtime member of Our Lady of the Rosary Parish.

The funeral Mass will be held Friday, June 6 at 10:30 a.m. in the Notre Dame du Lac Chapel, 555 Plantation St., Worcester. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery. There will be a calling hour before the funeral Friday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester.
