Surviving are three sons, John C. Houghton, Herbert H. Houghton and Russell R; two daughters, Miss Helen L. Houghton and Miss Esther M. Houghton; two sisters, Miss Ada Houghton and Miss Minnie Houghton; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two nieces and one nephew.
