Westfield—Funeral services for John Howard Houghton, 65, of 680 Summit Ave., who died Wednesday (Dec. 21, 1938) after a short illness, were held Friday in Grya’s Funer- al Home. Burial was private. Born in Milton, Mass., and a lo- cal resident 22 years, Mr. Hough- ton, member of the Old Guard re- tired seven years ago from the paper manufacture industry. He at- tended First Church of Christ, Scientist. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mabel Lovell Houghton; two daughters, Miss Ruth Houghton, Lafayette, Ind., and Miss Constance Houghton, Riverdale, N. Y; a son, John L. Houghton, at home.
