ResearchMichael Hooten: I am descended from Thomas Hooton 1752-1841, who served in the American Revolution. My line of Hootons living in Indiana in the mid 1800s indicated that the family was from England and the name was originally Houghton. My line back to Thomas is well established, but have not personally been able to validate any claims as to Thomas' Father. I would be curious to know if I am connected to any of the lines you have researched.2
