Jan Beebe: "I have had the info on Elisha Houghton and his marriages to both Moriah Pierce and Elizabeth Rice for ages but don't have the proof that Elisha is one and the same. Same thing with him being the son of Ephraim. Though I highly suspect that the lineage is correct. By the way Elisha was not a Captain in the RW. I have checked the Edmund Rice book for Elizabeth and haven't come up with anything concrete on her either. I have also climbed the hills in the cemetery at North Adams and written to the town clerk to no avail. They have no record of either Elisha, Relief or my Goyer family. "
