You list Lydia King (F) #16448 as 1st wife of Roger Houghtom Marble. So far I have only been able to find a single unsustantiated reference to this union. This single source, the Lynn R Marble database was copied from unpublished and un documented Forest marble research of the 50's.³

"He attended the grade schools of Sterling, graduated from Sterling High School in 1886, followed by a course at Hinsman's Business College in Worcester. He began his career in Worcester as bookkeeper for the firm of Brown & Simpson, manufacturers and dealers in piano and organs, at the Hammond Organ Reed Company on May Street, also having charge of the retail business. When the business was incorporated in 1892 as the Brown & Simpson Company, Mr. Roper became a director with Andrew Hammond being named president."²
