ALBION—George L. Hough ton, 77, formerly a cashier a the former Citizens Nations Bank here and formerly secretary and treasurer of the Fed eral Savings & Loan Assn, here died Sunday night (July 16 1961) in Deaconess Hospital ir Buffalo. He was last employed as ai accountant in the Orleans County Welfare Department foi 17 years until his retirement following which he and Mrs Houghton went to Snyder to live with a daughter. Mrs James Shenton. He was a former member of the Albion Union Free School District Board of Education, a trustee of the Bogue Home foi Children, treasurer of the Al bion Methodist Church at one time, and a member and for mer treasurer of the Albion

WHITEHALL—Fgank Houghton, 82, born on one of the earliest ranches settled in present-day Jefferson County, died Monday in a Butte hospital. The son of Henry H. and Lydia Houghton, territorial pioneers, he was born on the family ranch on Whitetail Creek on May 8, 1874. He lived on the ranch, five miles north of Whitehall, and engaged in stockraising until retiring 14 years ago. He since had lived in Whitehall.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 o’clock in Scott Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ralph Gray officiating. Burial will be in the Whitehall Cemetery. Mr. Houghton was a member of the Christian Church. He Married Ida Maude McCall on May 2, 1896. She died in 1939. The survivors include a brother- in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. E. R. McCall of Whitehall, and numerous nephews and nieces. Four brothers preceded him in
