BiographyJohn F. Cardinal
Founder and Chief Technology Officer of EXIT41 (www.exit41.com) John has 20 years of experience developing technical solutions for customer-facing systems. Prior to co-founding Elm Square Interactive (www.elmsquare.com) and EXIT41, John was Vice President of Systems Development for Epsilon. There, he was involved in the design and implementation of the core technologies used to implement large-scale CRM systems. He was one of two software architects who designed the first commercial database marketing application using supercomputer technology. This system was developed by Epsilon for its parent, American Express, Inc., to process daily over five hundred queries against a data warehouse of 250 gigabytes of customer information.
Elm Square Interactive is lead by executives with a proven track record of building businesses and delivering value for its stakeholders.

Our executive team founded and led Epsilon, the nation's leading database marketing company. They took Epsilon public in 1984 and sold the company to American Express in 1990. In 1994, they founded Elm Square Interactive, a professional services firm specializing in the rapid development of customer-facing systems and systems integration.

Elm Square invested its profits in an internal effort to develop a next-generation, POS solution utilizing an information-driven, business-process based enterprise infrastructure. In 1998, EXIT41 was formally created. EXIT41 provides a new class of point-of-sale (POS) software and information solutions that enable businesses to better serve customers and operate more profitably.

Elm Square Interactive is now a division of EXIT41. Both companies co-exist at the headquarters in Andover, Massachusetts.
At EXIT4, John's technical focus has been on designing Restaurant Management Systems for the Quick Serve Restaurant industry, as well as designing Internet-enabled applications for Elm Square.

John has been a user of The Master Genealogist since 1999. He is the author of 4 companion programs for TMG (John Cardinal's TMG Utility; On this Day; Mocakebi; and Second Site.2
